Picked up some lumber from Breen's. They were amazing, very helpful, fair. Prices were good. They went above and beyond, helping to pump up tires that got a little flatter with the weight. Very much appreciated their service and product!!! Would recommend to anyone, great people, great business!!! Many thanks!!!
Last month I went on a research adventure, to Breens and other lumber mills in the area. THe ladies in the office were very helpful, and I brought home samples of 3 products. Last week I returned for 1x4 T&G, intended for my kitchen ceiling. I needed 10 foot lengths, they happened to be on sale. The price was great, the service was amazing - there are many other products here I will return for, as I create the project!! After a very light hand sand, and one coat of custom mixed stain, they were installed and look amazing!!
Trying to coordinate payment and pickup with Breen's Lumber has given me the biggest headache. They have refused to accept payment online or over the phone and provide no delivery options. Despite these inconveniences their employees are also very rude over the phone and lack professionalism.
Very rude and unprofessional. Never try to call or even think about buying anything. The lady working there is nice but owner very rude. It looks like living 200 years back when there is only one supplier and they do whatever they want. I rather pay few cents more buy from someone at least listen to me and hear what i want rather hang up phone on you.
Great people, friendly, nice caring people. I have been buying my lumber here for a few years now, I have built plenty of projects and will be returning to buy plenty of more. Always been a plesure to visit
I really wanted to like this place. I live very close and was planning on coming here a lot. However the wood I got from here was moldy to the point it looked like blue cheese. I went in early in the morning and got a number of boards for a small project. I should have checked them in advance but the lady was nice do I didnt even think about it. When I attempted to exchange the boards for ones I could actually use I was told that it wasnt possible. (Even though on the website it clearly states they except exchanges not refunds). I was told they were willing to upsell me to a product that was double the price but going through the effort to exchange the boards like for like was out of the question. I was forced to purchase else where and will not be returning. I choose to support locally owned family business as much as I can but the big box stores employ locals too and if the local business is going to pull a fast one on you then they are not worth supporting.
The gentlemen i spoke to was quite rude when i called to inquire about some post prices for a future project. He talked to me like he was wasting his time doing so. If this is how they treat costumers them ill happily spend my money elsewhere. Do not recommend buying from them until they get some classes on costumer service.
